All frolicking is forbidden until further notice. Someone keeps breaking the rules, though.
Veterinarian: Is it possible to get her to rest this shoulder?
Us:...................................................................................can we put her into traction? I am pleased to introduce, Pathetic Dog, a meme that will be sweeping the internet like a sick dog scooting across the lawn. This has been a rough couple of weeks. Yuki has had some unfortunate reactions to her Rimadyl and antibiotic, which meant that Sunday was miserable, and mostly spent on the couch trying to keep her comfortable through a scary episode of shakes and tremors. She is looking a lot better today, so fingers crossed that we are in the clear.
In other good news, she is no longer limping around like a zombie dog. Please, enjoy this gif of Yuki walking towards me. Whenever I feel sad I look at it. By the way, what is up with that crazy freak-out towards the end there? It looks almost like when a ghost appears in a camera and does that really disturbing screaming head shake and then stops instantly.
Anyway. Why am I sharing this gif? Well, Yuki is still on bed rest for pulling something in her shoulder. Just thought I would share that the puppy is still a mess, and basically has been since we got her. This means we can't take walks. This means that Yuki is in absolute misery. No playing. No roughhousing. No walks. Life is just not worth living and she lets us know this every day with big, sad eyes, and floppy ears. Have your pets ever been extra pathetic, when something really wasn't the end of the world? haunch hônCH,hänCH/ noun 1.
It occurs to me that I have a slightly different definition of haunch than Google does. To me, a haunch is a beefy leg. A muscular limb. A portion of the leg that has untold powers.
Yuki had a visit to the vet this morning because she was gimping around like a double amputee. Our little monster truck pulled something in her shoulder, and then her limping seemed to cause some knotting in her rear leg, so she could barely walk and we couldn't pick her up for fear of hurting her. Now she is in considerably less pain, and moving around much better thanks to some anti inflammatory meds and pain killers. She is still an absolute pro at looking pathetic, so here you are. Her mandatory bed rest is only barely being tolerated.
